During wartime, such a service allows people to get important information, communicate with family and friends, monitor news and restrictions imposed due to martial law, coordinate and receive assistance. And moreover - to work and study. It is the main goal of information and communication support for the people of Kyiv under martial law.

What impact has the service had?
The information policy of the Kyiv Digital project is aimed at free access of Kyiv residents to information, which allows maintaining the rhythm of life in various situations.

As part of the digital support, the LoRaWan city network also became operational in Kyiv. It provides the exchange of small amounts of data over long distances. This technology makes it possible to connect battery-powered sensors operating at a considerable distance in special, unstable conditions.
How was the service co-created?
Such a special network platform was created in Kyiv for connecting to the Internet in shelters. The Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the Kyiv City State Administration, together with many Internet providers, connected more than 1,000 shelters and 200 bomb shelters in all districts of the capital to Wi-Fi. The aim of such an initiative is informational independence of Kyiv residents under any circumstances.
