In a nutshell

The water supply in Terrassa has always been a public service, but managed by a private company. This changed in 2018, when direct management of the water supply service was implemented through a local public business entity. 

Water supply is considered an essential service for the citizen, that's why Terrassa has recently started implementing 200 remote reading meters  in the city.

What makes the service user-centric?
The citizen is no longer a mere consumer, now he or she will have much more information about the service for which they are paying. This project is consistent with the Local Tallin Declaration because is accessible and secure and can be used by all in a non-discriminatory manner.
What impact has the service had?
A) It allows to organize the data of the service in a faster and more efficient way. It is easier to monitor large consumers to better understand their habits.
B) It makes the service more transparent to the citizens.
How was the service co-created?
It has been created by the public local company Taigua and the Technology service of the Terrassa city council.
