eAmbulance - Vysocina

City / Region

Vysocina (Czechia)

In a nutshell

eAmbulance is the online registration system to a network of regional hospitals. Vysocina region has five hospitals in the cities of: Jihlava, Havlickuv Brod, Pelhrimov, Nove Mesto and Trebic. eAmbulance enables hospitals to define slots for possible registration to various hospital departments. Users/patients are able to login to the system, choose and reserve their appointment with a medical doctor. The system provides email and sms notifications for users to let them know about a planned visit. In addition, it is integrated with the hospital's information system for exchanging all necessary data about each patient. Patients can create a user account in the system. The account then has to be confirmed by hospital staff via physical attendance of the user to avoid creating fake accounts. The system is also integrated with the National Identification Authority (NIA), so all citizens who already have national identity can login to eAmbulance without any barrier.

Each hospital defines the calendar for registering slots according to their working schedule. Users can see all free slots in all hospitals so they can choose their time of visit according to their preference.

The system is technically installed on the HW of the regional technologic centre, which is managed with high security standards.

eAmbulance helps save time for patients since they don't need to wait in the hospital for long time. It has also improved the hospital's management in planning their work more effectively and it is the most valuable service  for the citizens of Vysocina Region.
